In the first half of the year, 20 percent (108,051 units) of the 553,000 houses sold throughout Turkey changed hands in Istanbul.
According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), house sales across the country decreased by 11.5% in the first part of the year. Compared to the same period of 2020, it amounted to 552,810. The highest sales figure was reached in Istanbul with over 108,000 units sold. One out of every five residences across the country was sold in Istanbul.
