Only a few weeks after wildfires devastated large swathes of land in southern Turkey, nature has already begun the renewal process. Flowers are blossoming again, along with shrubbery sprouting up around Marmaris, a vacation resort town in the southwestern province of Muğla, where blazes scorched the earth and turned countless trees into ash.

The government on Tuesday issued new guidelines for local education authorities for the start of in-person education next month. The guidelines recommend full vaccination (two doses) for parents, teachers, education staff, school bus drivers, and canteen employees.
